How the alarm works
- Pick the time — hour, minute, and AM/PM. Optionally add a label.
- Choose a sound — six built-in sounds, generated in-browser. Use Test to preview.
- Hit "Set Alarm" — the page shows a live countdown. Keep this tab open for the alarm to ring.
- When it fires — a popup appears with options to Snooze 5 min or Stop.
Frequently asked questions
Will the alarm ring if my computer is asleep?
No. Browser tabs are paused while the operating system is asleep. The alarm will only fire if the tab is open and your computer is awake when the time is reached.
Does the tab need to stay open?
Yes. The countdown runs entirely in your browser. If you close the tab, the alarm will not ring. You can keep the tab in the background or in fullscreen mode.
Will my alarm survive a page reload?
Yes. The alarm time, label, and sound are saved in your browser's local storage. If you refresh and the alarm is still in the future, it resumes counting down automatically.
Why do I have to click "Test" before the alarm rings?
Modern browsers require a user gesture to enable audio playback. Clicking Test or Set Alarm unlocks audio for the rest of the session.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. Time, label, sound, and snooze state are stored only in your browser. The site does not have an account system or a database.
